Can tattoos peel more then once?

This is not my first tattoo, I have quite a few but I've never had any that have done this.I do go to the same artist for all of my tatttoos, so I follow her after care which I followed just like with all of my other tattoos. So it's 8 days old now and it has peeled for the first time on in between the 3 and 4 day, Now most of the underneath the layer that has peeled it is a very shiny and wrinkly skin and in some places almost scaly. Like I've said before that's never happened before. Is it silver skin/ milk skin? Will it go away? The tattoo is on my inner bicep closer to my arm pit. does that make a difference in how it heals? I've also read that sometimes they can peel and scab, is that possibly what is going on? This weird skin/peeling seems to be happening more in the red and dark green ares.
Sounds like assyimulation proscess. This is where the skin will get a shiny appearance. It is new skin cells growing over the area that has been worked on.Very normal and sometimes the tattoo will do a extra peel. This is just healthy skin pushing the dead skin up.As far as color area this is due to the pigment base factors. Also under arm is another issue. this area is not exposed to elements weather and such. sounds pretty normal so far. if you start getting any fluid discharge other than plasma then seek a doc and get some antibiotics but this does sound normal.
