is it worth flying from london to get tattood at miami ink

i am hesitating weather 2 get a cheap flight out to miami from london to get a tattoo done. I realy like the stytles of tattoos i have seen on the show, and i am seriously considering it if i can find cheap accomadation. what are your thoughts?? many thanks marc.

Yeah, if your going to fly anywhere for a tattoo you should fly to the Tattoo Gathering or Hell City Tattoo Fest.

I would do it purely for the fun of having a holiday at the same time as getting a tattoo, it sounds like it could be a really fun trip. I mean if it's just the tattoo you want then there's tattooists a plenty in london, but the miami trip would be one to remember you know.

If your going for a tattoo vacation, I might suggest going where there are tons of great tattoo artists in a cool location. Maimi, eh, its pretty fun, but theres a lot of sun and swimming and its not the best place for a tattoo vacation if you ask me. As long as you get a good tattoo, and youll definitely get ripped off at Maimi ink and many of the surrounding studios.

A friend wen't into Miami Ink to get a christ head tattoo,and they wanted 700.00.I told him to check out Federico@ southbeachtattoo.com He gave him a beautiful christ head for 300.00.Most of the artists on the show aren't at the shop when their not filming the show.I think if you wan't to be on the show,they have interviews set up to get an idea of what you wan't,and if there's a story behind the tattoo..It seems like they wan't people who have a story about why their getting the tattoo.. Yea, overall I'd say thats a big no. You have BEZ near you. We'd kill for that here in the states! Miami Ink isn't all it's cracked up to be. You'd have a much better time hitting a really awesome custom tattoo shop and getting a great tattoo and experiencing a true artist at work. Also the London Tattoo convention is world renowned! I'd check that out WAY before going to Miami Ink! Good luck in your tattoo travels, whatever you decide to do!
