Itchy Red Pimple Like bumps around my tattoo

I got a new tattoo almost a week ago. And a few days after these red pimple like bumps started come up all around my tattoo. the hurt and are kinda itchy. Ive have lots of tattoos before this and its never happened before. Ive asked a few friends who told me its ok not to worry about it. But i have this fear it could be worse.

sounds like clogged pores. ease up on lotion or ointment use. if the artist shaved the area before the tattoo it could be a rasor burn deal.either way wash cpl times a day with hand pat dry allow air ten minutes then apply small mount lotion NO SCENT or ointment. cpl times a day.good luck
